The 2013 C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid is the fall addition to Ford’s new family of super-efficient compact crossovers.
Official numbers are still pending but according to John Davis, the engineer for Ford’s compact cars and utility vehicles, the C-Max Energi will have a combined per-tank/per- charge range of 550 miles and will have the ability to drive more than 20 miles on pure electric power. The estimated combined MPGes will be 95!
The C-Max doesn’t sacrifice MPGes for horsepower; it gets 188 horsepower from the lithium-ion battery pack.
